The New Zealand Government has announced plans to repeal Smokefree legislation in Aotearoa New Zealand, which has concerned many health workers.
Tu Te Akaaka Roa (New Zealand National Committee) is working with Equally Well leaders to develop a shared position statement on this issue. The statement will highlight the possible implications of the proposed legislative changes on the physical health equity of people experiencing mental health and addiction issues.
If you would like to contribute to the development of this position statement, please email Tu Te Akaaka Roa at nzoffice@ranzcp.org.
