PPG 14: National Codes and Standards has been rescinded
28 May 2024
Policy
The College’s Professional Practice Guideline 14: National Codes and Standards (PPG14) provided members a resource to identify information on national codes and standards across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, relevant to psychiatric practice and mental health services.
The Board agreed to rescind PPG14 on 19 May 2024. With continuous changes of codes and standards across countries and jurisdictions, it has been identified that there is risk of PPG14 being out of date.
Members can keep up to date on codes and standards via the following resources:
- Australian Medical Council - Accreditation standards and procedures
- Medical Council of New Zealand – Paerewa Standards
- RANZCP Code of Ethics
- RANZCP Accrediting posts, programs & courses
