Congratulations to Dr Eric Ratcliff for being awarded the Tasmanian Branch 2024 Meritorious Service Award in recognition of his exceptional contributions to psychiatry.
Dr Eric Ratcliff has dedicated his career to serving the people of Northern and Northwestern Tasmania, moving from public service to private practice in Launceston. He supports young psychiatrists in the area and offers valuable counsel on health care delivery. Eric has been a sounding board and provided wise counsel about a range of clinical, administrative, and political matters to do with all aspects of health care delivery in the state.
In addition to mentoring, Dr Ratcliff has participated in various college committees and participation in events and is an advocate for public psychiatry service development. He is committed to supporting consumers and carers and has addressed issues related to the Mental Health Act (Tasmania) and pharmaceutical oversight.
The RANZCP Tasmanian Branch was delighted to present Dr Ratcliff with his award at the Tasmanian Branch Conference dinner on Saturday 23 November 2024.
