College advocacy to influence policy in Australia and New Zealand

The College regularly makes submissions to government and other stakeholders in order to inform and influence mental health policy and service design in Australia and New Zealand. 
  
In developing these submissions, the College is guided by the Practice, Policy and Partnerships Committee, and consults broadly with Branches and the New Zealand National Office, along with Committees and members with key expertise.

Australian Branches

  • WA Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries’ submission on Gambling Law Reform.

Australia 

  • Ahpra on targeted consultation on how Ahpra and the National Boards propose to use the new power to issue interim prohibition orders. 
  • Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care (DoHAC) on National Consumer Engagement Strategy for Health and Wellbeing (NCESHW) Consultation.
