Presenters
Dr Korinne Northwood
Dr Northwood is a clinical academic psychiatrist, with combined clinical, research and teaching experience.
She graduated with an MBBS and PhD from the University of Queensland and has completed specialist training in psychiatry at Metro South Health, while continuing to engage in research. She has a particular interest in treatment-refractory schizophrenia and psychopharmacology.
Dr Northwood received the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) Early Career Psychiatrist award in 2024, and she is also a member of the RANZCP Congress 2025 Local Organising Committee to be held on the Gold Coast.

Dr Nathan Jacobs
Dr Jacobs sees patients with treatment-resistant anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. Patients appreciate Dr Jacobs’ thorough, unrushed, psychodynamically-informed, biopsychosocial approach. Dr Jacobs is the founder and moderator of 2 popular and successful WhatsApp groups for Australian psychiatrists.
He has presented workshops and symposia at RANZCP Congresses and conferences, and he was interviewed in a 2024 College podcast about early-career psychiatrists. Dr Jacobs enjoys the autonomy, independence, and satisfaction of working in his own private practice. He looks forward to meeting you and answering your questions.

Dr Shuichi Suetani
Every mother's dream son in law, Shuichi is an exceptionally tall and meticulously well groomed gentleman who writes his own bios.

Associate Professor Simon Stafrace
Simon is a psychiatrist with postgraduate qualifications in psychological medicine, clinical hypnosis, and health administration. He currently serves as the Program Director of Mental & Addiction Health at Alfred Health and holds an appointment as Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Monash University in Melbourne, Victoria.
He is also a board member of Mental Health Victoria and Mental Health First Aid International. From 2020–22, as Chief Adviser in the Victorian Department of Health, Simon contributed to the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System, helped establish the Division of Mental Health & Wellbeing, and supported early implementation of the Royal Commission's recommendations.
Since 2023, Simon has chaired the Victorian Branch of the RANZCP, leading a committee committed to mental health advocacy, ensuring access to effective clinical and psychosocial care for people with mental illness and addiction, fostering membership engagement, and developing a sustainable and capable workforce. He also served as co-Chair of the bi-national Community Collaboration Committee (2018–24), bringing the voice of lived and living experience to the College's policy, education, and advocacy work.

Dr Galambos previously served as chair of the NSW Branch and has campaigned for confidentiality of patient
records, the establishment of an on line Fellows Directory, and preventing US managed care corporations from exploiting Australians.
During his time as medical director of the 100-bed St John of God Hospital Burwood, Dr Galambos developed the sole mother baby unit for postnatal depression in NSW, services for young people with borderline personality disorder, substance addiction, including opiate users, and treatment-resistant psychotic disorders.
His vision to make innovative mental health treatments more accessible led Dr Galambos to establish cutting-edge services at the young adult early intervention service he leads, including MRI-guided TMS for depression and OCD, scent-augmented Virtual Reality Mindfulness and Exposure Therapy for OCD, and a digital mental health platform called MindSkiller®️ to address the growing demand for more sophisticated mental health education, innovation, and person-centred shared care.
